Pastoral Salvaguarda What have we done? We have started to organize ourselves, to become familiar with the "issues" that need to be addressed in order to protect the neighbors and habitants of the valley. We are uniting various organizations, to exert a powerful influence that will bring attention to the issues that are involved in the valley of the river Huasco, and to other areas that are experiencing the same "intrusion" by "traditional" mining companies. We have contacted the Latin-American observatory of environmental conflicts (OLCA), in attempt to learn how to conduct our ourselves in our activities |
